Read More Plays – Henrik Ibsen

One of the things I hope to do with this platform is to remind folks of the plays that I think are important to read as a theatre person, whatever role you are along that spectrum. Today I’m taking us back to the late 1800s and the shift that theatre made out of the Victorian era.

Here are some suggestions for the “grandfather of realism” in the theatre, Norway’s Henrik Ibsen. My favorite of his has always been “An Enemy of the People.” I think I will try to give that a re-read this year.
